Information You Enter
Text entered into a name, phone, or address search is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result widget. Lakewood Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those search terms on its own servers. If you write to the operators, the message and contact details contain only what you choose to send and are used to respond.
Routine Technical Logs
The hosting service may keep ordinary server data such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time stamps. Aggregate review helps maintain the pages and understand general traffic. Cookies or similar tools may also support basic analytics or advertising measurement when those services are active.
How We Use It
Information is used to operate the reference, fix errors, measure broad traffic, answer messages, and improve the pages. Lakewood Residents Directory does not sell a visitor list or build an individual profile from these limited data paths.
External Record Portals
The pages link to Jefferson County, Lakewood, Colorado, library, archive, USPS, court, and other services. Those destinations have their own privacy rules and control what a visitor submits there. Sponsored search results are supplied by a separate provider, whose policies govern that submission.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and technical providers process the server information needed to deliver the pages. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information may be disclosed when valid legal process requires it. It is not otherwise shared as a resident list.
Security and Retention
The pages use an encrypted connection. Technical logs are kept only for the operational purposes described here and for as long as the hosting setup requires. There are no Lakewood Residents Directory accounts, passwords, or user profiles to maintain.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The operators do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information through the contact route, ask the operators to remove it.
Colorado Privacy Choices
Where applicable, the Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. §§6-1-1301 and following, including rights described in C.R.S. §6-1-1313(2) and 4 CCR 904-3, may provide access, correction, deletion, or opt-out choices for covered personal data. Because this reference keeps little direct visitor data, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page to ask.
The Colorado Open Records Act, C.R.S. §§24-72-201 to 206, governs requests to Colorado public custodians, not a private directory’s ability to change a county, city, court, voter, vital, or library record. Requests about those records belong with the originating office. Colorado’s Address Confidentiality Program and other statutory protections may also limit what a custodian can release.
Policy Updates
If this policy changes, the revised text will be posted here with its effective date when appropriate. Continuing to use the reference after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
